Privacy Policy
Short version: we collect almost nothing, sell nothing, and delete on request.
What we collect
Newsletter emails you submit voluntarily. Anonymous pageview counts. Nothing else. No accounts, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting. If you email us, we keep the message long enough to answer it and then delete routine correspondence.
How we use it
Emails receive the newsletter only. Unsubscribe anytime with one click. Analytics never leave aggregate form and never identify individuals. We do not build reader profiles, and we do not sell or rent any list.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses no advertising cookies. A small local storage flag remembers whether you closed the newsletter box, so it does not appear on every visit. Server logs record the page requested and a coarse location for security and capacity planning, then expire.
Third parties
Our host processes page requests on our behalf. WhatsApp and email links open services with their own privacy terms. We do not embed social trackers, comment plugins or third-party video players that follow you across the web.
Your rights
Ask what we hold, correct it, or delete it entirely via contact us. Requests are answered within seven days. If you subscribed with an address you no longer use, send the old address and we will remove it without questions.
Data retention
Newsletter addresses stay until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so a deleted address is not added again by mistake. Contact emails are kept for one year for follow-up, then deleted. Aggregate analytics are retained for 14 months and contain no personal identifiers.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe with the link in every email, ask for a copy of what we hold, or request deletion. You can also block analytics in your browser without losing access to any article. We do not require an account to read the site.
Security
The site runs on HTTPS, and access to the newsletter list is limited to one editor with two-factor authentication. No system is perfect, but we keep the data set small so a breach would expose little. If a security issue affects readers, we will say so on this page.
International readers
Our host may process requests outside your country. By using the site you accept that transfer, which is limited to page requests and the email you choose to send. We apply the same deletion rules to every reader, regardless of location.
Children and changes
The site is written for adults and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If this policy changes, the update date moves and the new text appears here. Material changes are announced in the newsletter.
